Gear I use for great Periscope Videos

Camtasia is the software I use to record Periscope broadcasts with the hearts and comments. I also use it to edit all of my YouTube videos. Highly recommended!

Once you use the Rode mic for your iPhone or smartphone, you’ll never do without it. The audio is shockingly better and more professional, and it’s incredibly simple to use. Just plug and play!

The Sunpak is an awesome tripod. Now that I’ve had a tripod a while, I’m not sure how I ever did without it. It’s light, easy to break down and set up, and can take both vertical and horizontal shots. Great for Periscope!

It’s a selfie stick! Actually, I don’t use the stick part at all, just the mount for the phone itself. We then screw the mount right onto the tripod, and we have a home video studio!

This “breakout” box is great for two reasons – 1.) You can use two microphones for recording interviews, AND 2.) You can attach headphones to listen to the audio or make phone calls. Definitely worth the $20!

This fun little phone stand works great when you don’t need a large tripod or simply don’t want to haul the full-sized tripod around with you.

These inexpensive studio lights make the area you’re recording look like daylight 24 hours a day! I use them with every video I create.
